Rhinehart 100
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:05:01 PM »
I just got home from the shoot. Did any of you make it out? What did you think?
I haven't had time to go before but I sure am glad I finally went. There were so many people that it was really slow getting around the course. The weekend was absolutely unbelievably good weather. The host club CCB did a huge amount of work laying out 100 targets up hills, across ravines and valleys, through fields and in the timber. My hat's off to them for an incredible experience.  :archer:
Hoyt Carbon Element,Black Gold Rush, Tight Spot, Gold Tip and Muzzy....these are a few of MY favorite things

I am also glad that we shot both days but I really dont think I would shoot this event again because:

1. quite a few groups of 8 or more people
2. numerous double shot stakes creating bottlenecks of said 8 person groups
3. took over 5-6 hours to shoot 50 targets

I would also agree with you that CCB did a great job hosting the event and were very friendly and helpful

It was a fun shoot for sure.  The doubles really backed things up for sure.  Probably close to a dozen double shots on the North American side.  I will go back for sure but some people I shot with might not.  They thought 50 bucks was a little much for what they got.

CCB did an awesome job for the most part.  My only complaints are the double targets backed things up and that there were no cub stakes for the kids.

I had the same feeling as everyone else.  The course and targets were good but really slow.  I only shot on Sunday and from what I heard the 5 hrs it took for 50 targets was much faster than Saturday.  Expensive too...but they do give out nice door prizes if you're lucky enough to win one.  No missed targets, lost or broken arrows and only a couple of 5's so it was a good day.

Besides the back ups and 1 out house by our camp that needed to be serviced and was a little RIPE we gas a great time as usual. Miltiple entry points are always a great idea. Didn't seem to be as many shooters this year as years past but Capitol City  did a good job as usual.
