Ive seen some trees, a few rocks, and a bunch of bushes. :chuckle:

In all seriousness i wouldnt worry about scouting for a cow. You have along time from now untill then and alot of hunting pressure. The elk will not be doing the same thing now as they will at the end of october.

its more of just seeing animals this time of year i guess, i love to see the damn things idk what it is  :) i know getting a cow up there should be a fairly easy deal but still knowing there up there, seeing them gives me that reassurance! just wanna get a general idea of where their goinbg to be hanging around.

http://www.inciweb.org/state/49/

Yeah, over 600acres burned.  Fire is on west side of Conrad Meadows near Conrad Lake.  It's burning on steep hillside and seems to be working it's way up on top into Goat Rocks Wilderness/Pinegrass Ridge area.  Went from 20 fire fighters on Saturday/Sunday, 45 Monday, to 150 today including some Hot Shot crews.  Type III incident response and upgrading to Type II tomorrow.  Looks like they are throwing resources at it, but can't really fight it until it gets up on top, as it's too steep and dangerous for ground crews.
