doing it myself euro

I am slowly working on my deer from last year, got him cleaned up last year he set all winter. And after doing alot of research on this site, I am degreasing him now and he is starting to look pretty good i think. I simmer/boiled him because I live in town and dont have a great place to do any other way myself. Its gratifying to work on your own mount I guess and I cant wait to hang him on the wall.

It feels great to hang a trophy on the wall that you did yourself. My girlfriend bought me a buck boiler for Christmas and it works great. Much easier than the roaster pan on the stove.  ;) Saves on the old pocket book too, I did mine for under $30 including the plaque.

Buck looks great!!!  :tup:

If you have trouble getting that super white skull a coat of flat white spray paint works great.

I'm pretty sure she got it off eBay for $80-$100. The cheapest one on eBay right now is $95.

thanks for the tips..I think the grease is pretty much out, I am going to pull him out of the bubble bath tuesday or wednesday and let him bleach for a week or so and see how he looks after that.

For now I am not going to paint it or whiten it , I thought about glueing the cracks together but for now I think I am going to leave it as is.
