Nooksack Soak Final Chapter 2013
« on: June 30, 2013, 01:21:42 PM »
It's a pretty slow start but I was able to get a couple smaller bulls. Hopefully activity will pick-up.

It's been two weeks since I checked these two cameras. Normally, I would expect between 600-800 images per camera but that was not the case this time. One camera had 320 and the other had 44. At first I thought I either had bad cards or didn't properly charge my batteries, but everything checked out OK. When I put the SD card with 44 pictures in my camera and started viewing the images it became very clear why my pic counts were way down. The cat >:( first showed up on camera (you just see his ears and back in the first image) about 2 hours after I last checked it.  :yike:

It took several days before the elk came back. If that cat shows up later this month, I know where I will be with my FoxPro and 6.5 Grendel on Sept 1.  :hunter:

Mixed bag this time around. I pulled the camera since it will be snowed in soon. I also ran my e-caller for about an hour trying to see if the cat was still around.
