Just got my Elk Pedestal back from Taxidermist
« on: July 01, 2013, 06:54:30 PM »

Just got my bull back from the taxidermist. I am really happy with how it turned out. I got the idea for this style of pedestal at the sportsman show. The granite is double thickness with chiselled edges to give it a heavier look. The pedestal was custom built at a cabinet shop.

I rough scored it at 325-330 Gross. Did not have it officially measured.

There are many excellent Taxi sponsors on this site. I did not want to step on anyones toes. I can PM the information if anyone is interested.

That looks really cool  Great bull and a nice mount. If you don't mind me asking what does something like that set a guy back?

I have $1,000 in to the pedestal plus the cost of the mount. The granite was not cheap.

Thanks for the nice comments.
