Garmin Releases New DC50 Tracking Collar!
«
on:
July 02, 2013, 09:03:59 AM »
Hey guys thought i would share this for the Hound guys and upland guys on here, my boss has completed a full review of these new DC50s and they are working great!
The much anticipated Garmin Astro
DC50
collar has done well in our testing and reviews. The just-released DC50 is ruggedly built and equipped with new features like a battery-saving rescue mode, longer braided steel antenna for increased range, and GLONASS-enabled satellite tracking to vastly increase your coverage in the field. Bark Detection Mode allows you to tell your dogs bark rate per minute, this is going to help let you know if your dogs are warming up a cold track. All this makes the DC50 a great collar for those hunters who were reluctant to buy the DC40’s. You can now also get it in the
Garmin Astro 320 DC50 Combo
! Contact us at Double U Hunting Supply at mail@dusupply.com or 855-DU HUNTS (855-384-8687) to find out more, or check out the DC50 yourself

unfortunately no, the software on the 220 will not support the DC50. the 320s that are out there now will need s software update that takes about 2 minutes

Just to clarify, if a person has the 320 and you add the software for the 50 collars, the 320 will still receive signals from 20, 30, and 40 collars while at the same time receiving signals from 50 collars?

yes with the software update on the 320 you will be able to track all dc collars. we have been running them for a month or so now and really like them, blow the 40s out of the water in satellite connectivity
they are MRP'd at 229.99 for the collar and 599.99 for the combo

We never bought any 40's, heard from too many disappointed doggers about them. We've been running 30's but might consider upgrading to 50's.
