WSTA Rendezvous, everyones welcome!

Washington State Trappers Associations annual Rendezvous is coming up soon. July 19th, 20th and 21st at the Chelan Expo Center (Formerly the Chelan County Fairgrounds) in Cashmere.
Friday: set up and socializing, potluck dinner and evening campfire with smores sausages and tall tales.
Saturday: Trapper Education classes, membership meeting and
 Demos; Westside cage trapping of cat,
              Trap makers show and tell, bring your design and show it off. See what other guys are doing in the way of trap building,
              Muskrat , beaver, mink trapping demos,
              Mike Matneys new floating muskrat trap,
              Getting started trapping from a beginners perspective,
              Tools for putting up fur,
              Comstock beaver/ otter trap
              Egg toss for the kids,
              Trap making questions and answers
              Straw bale scramble, kids love it

Evening dinner and auction, raffle prize drawings
Evening campfire and more tall tales

Sunday: More trap makers show and tell,
              Raccoon trapping demo

Board of Directors meeting and clean up

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday. Breakfast Sunday and there is the potluck Friday night which you are all welcome too.
There is camping available full hookups or tent camping
$10 admission

I Can't wait going to be a great weekend, if anyone needs NAFA bags for the up coming year i will have some there to hand out. I should also have top lot pins and hats so if you you had a top lot from the last sale come see me at the rendezvous.

Evening camfire is a go. Karen said it wasn't there but they would move it back for us.

I'll be there Thursday and talk to them. I don't remember having a problem last year. The new management seems to be better at getting things right.

What time does it open and close Saturday and Sunday?

8:30 AM today to at least 9:30 PM tonight (never know how long the auction will last).  Sunday the first program starts at 9 AM. Rendezvous ends at noon on Sunday. A list if all the demos should be in your newsletter.

I want to thank all of you that put in your time and money to support the WSTA and make these events happen.  I know the work involved and I appreciate it.  It was also great to see a large trapping class!
