New Certified Cerakote Company
« on: July 05, 2013, 12:39:23 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I want to get the word out about our new Cerakote company, located in the heart of the Columbia Gorge, approximately 40 miles east of I-5 on the Columbia River. I have been on this site for several years now (Engelwood) and knew that this would be one of the main places I wanted to share what we do, and promote the work we have done. We are a Certified Cerakote Applicator, which means we have gone thru the Certification Course put on by NIC Industries and have a great shop. We have an FFL and can accept mailed in work from anywhere. My sisters name is Melissa and is the main applicator and is without a doubt a perfectionist. We turn out some awesome looking work and have made a lot of happy customers with what we can do. We started the company back around the first of the year and have been getting ready for a full blown launch. We are always available to quote work, as well as for questions anyone might have about the process, the product, or what someone might be looking for.

Cerakote makes for a great way to customize a rifle, pistol, shotgun, stock, scope, rings, bases, knives, etc. Also, if you have a gun that has become rusty, or has the bluing fading, this might be the perfect time to upgrade the look and durability of your rifle. I have attached some pictures in this post to show what we can do. We will be posting pictures from now on to show what we are up to. Hunt WA members will get a 5% discount when mentioning this site. The site has been great to me so offering a discount for the HW Community is an automatic for us. Hope you enjoy the pics and give us a call if you are looking for some work to be done. Thanks everyone!

Do you have any additional information on what the Cerakote does for your firearm?  Ceramic Coating and is it applied with high heat, etc.  Can it be applied to the furniture or just the metal exterior portions of your firearm.  I have looked at this process and have considered this option.

Thanks

Cerakote is a baked on, ceramic coating that extends the life of your barrel, action, or any component of your firearm. The process includes sandblasting metal components (other process for non-metal components), degreasing, and painting then baking the coating to the item. For temperature sensitive components such as scopes and composite stocks the temp only goes to 140 and for metal components it is baked on at 250 degrees. I have attached additional pictures below of other items we have coated. Pics aren't the best,  but I think they get the point across. Enjoy.

To get an idea of the corrosion resistance qualities of Cerakote, see the link below to a youtube video that was made with over 2000 hours of testing in a salt spray booth. It's an awesome video to watch.

How much to have the barrels of an over under 12 gauge done. The bluing is fading and I just want a simple color to make it look like it used to and stand up to hunting alittle better

Double barrel, single color. $60

Turnaround once received would be under a week and heading back to you.

Yes we do. We basically do every single part of any firearm except springs and certain pins. Everything else is fair game. On wood stocks we can also coat them but I suggest a 3 color scheme to break it up as wood stocks are generally more beat up than synthetic so its harder to hide imperfections in the wood.
