What kid doesn't love a semi auto 22?
« on: July 06, 2013, 07:24:15 PM »
Finally got my boy out shooting again. It's been a few months, so it was long over due. Took out a couple of different 22s and a brick of ammo. By far his favorites are the semi autos. The Mk III, an old  Remington 550, and his AR-22 were in a constant rotation.  The little Cricket with a red dot was use for "precision" work against the bowling pins. :chuckle:

For the first time though, my daughter (11) didn't want to come along. I think I may already be losing her. She wanted to stay home and hang out with her friends instead of hanging out with me. :'(

Best times ever were shooting with my dad.

I learned with a Colt Match Target .22 and I still shoot it almost weekly.

Awesome! That's what memories are made of  Keep your chin up... the daughter will come around. 11 is starting that age where it's not "cool" to hang out with dad anymore. Keep offering so she doesn't feel she's not welcome, but keep it low pressure. She'll grow up and realize again how wonderful spending time with her dad is

That is awesome!  Those are the kind of memories that are NEVER forgotten.

First 22LR I ever shot was my Grandfather's Winchester Model 74.  I put thousands upon thousands of rounds thru that thing as a youth.  I refinished the stock in a woodshop class I took in the 7th grade.  Still have it to this day.

Fun times

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
