Very cool. I got the little lady shooting recently too
Closed grip   :yike:

Ya I know. She now shoots with the correct grip. This was her first time actually drawing and shooting it so I started with letting her get used to the feeling before working on form and technique.

this is awesome man . i will look into this , everytime i pull my bow out she's always asking me questions about hunting think she secretly wants to bow hunt haha ,
Take her to a bow shop with an indoor range so they can set a bow up for her to shoot and try. I bet money you walk out the door with the bow. We went to cabelas just to get the low down and maybe try the bow, not even six arrows in and she was hooked.

It is funny how much they can enjoy shooting once they fling their first arrow.

I told my gf the same thing my dad told me and did with me when gutting my first animals. He was right there walking me through it and said that if I ever needed to break or got to a point I wasn't comfortable with he would take over. After a few animals I was doing them all myself and I think my gf will too. It depends on the lady but that is the route I would go.  :twocents:

I do all the gutting for my hunting crew so she doesn't have to worry about the cleaning part. As far as the killing I told her that's why we practice and if we aren't 100% comfortable in practice then we don't even think about trying it on an animal. The first year she was just riding along with my buddy and I when we spined a deer so it had no legs but was still alive when we got to it she didn't like that. I told her that it wasn't done on purpose and all you can do is finish it off in the quickest manner possible. It took her a few times being around and watching us before she was ok with it.
