9 days! Its killing me..........!  :chuckle:  Can we hear the entries?  Hopefully we that entered can see the judges scores and maybe learn something, know which areas of our calling the judges believe needs improvement. It would be great to see where we scored good and where we didn't score so well, without feedback from accomplished elk hunters we might not improve if we are not sure of what we are doing wrong.(Its worked plenty for elk but I want it to fool any and all that hears it :chuckle:)  It is judged from people I believe to know what they are talking about so.......hopefully we can see the scores learn something from this.  :twocents: Thanks Jason for putting this on!

You'll get plenty of feedback, just wait.  :chuckle: 14,500 members and only 7 contestants. Its a great contest. Thanks JP, Corey, Dirk, Paul, and Joel for your time. Thanks to Bearpaw for hosting all the great contests also. Wish there was more entries but there should be plenty of prizes to go around. Good luck guys.

I think 1 and 6 were pretty good. I think between the two, #1 would be my vote.

I tried to judge them as I listened to each, giving a score from one to ten in the 3 catagories. Cow/calf talk- BULL sounds- and freestyle. on realistic sounds, (to my ear anyways). Not trying to offend anyone at all, just wrote down a number as I heard the clips. Im not a professional judge. This is what I came up with.

#1- 7,6,7=20    revised 8,6,8=22
#2- 6,5,5=16
#3- 8,5,6=19
#4- 4,5,5=14
#5- 4,4,4=12
#6- 7,6,6=19
#7- 8,7,8=23

In my first  judging I gave callers 3 & 6 a tie at 19. I like both caller 3 and 6s cow calling although caller 6 has a couple different sounds at 14 seconds in and 18 seconds, between caller 3 and 6 I give it to caller 6. The bugles from both were ok (I liked callers 6 abit more) but not like the bulls I have had bugle at me.
