#7's bugles were just a little too "flutey" for me for them to win it. Not to take away anything from the caller but it just didn't have that rasp that the bulls I hear have. But that's just my
All elk sound different, no one is going to sound the exact same as the other one. There were a few entries that just sounded abit to much one toned. But this is just my opinion and in this case it doesn't matter. Good luck to all that entered and happy hunting this year. May your tags all get notched! I also agree with elk247 that it definitely sounded like a terminator type bugle. I won't deny that a lot of bulls fall victim to this type of call every year. Just to me they don't sound "elky" enough to win an elk calling contest. But again..just my opinion
