Wolf Scat in the Blues
« on: July 12, 2013, 01:23:55 PM »
Spent a good part of last weekend hiking in the Blues. Hiked out from Table Rock to Squaw Peak in the Wenaha on Saturday morning and noticed a considerable amount of canine scat along the trail. Not just a couple of piles, but MANY. They were not as big as the super large-sized pile I saw last November on the other side of Table Rock in the watershed; these looked more like adult-sized coyote piles or wolf pup piles. I suspect its the latter....

Any specific guidance on how to tell adult coyote scat from wolf pup scat?

Cheers!
