I am thinking about getting one of them mounted, if you have any pics lets see them

Any ideas on which taxidermist would do a crab and how much it would run? I am also curios about field care for it

Try Over The Hill Taxidermy in Clearlake. He does fish replica's so I figure he'd do a crab.

man i think ya just hangem in the sune until its done stinkn and all dried out then put some clearcoat on it and presto ya got a dungi crab mount

I've got a bronze casting of one, not exactly a mount but I'm sure it smells better than jackmaster's idea.

A bronze casting would be awesome

I knew a guy that used to freeze dry them, along with shrimp and other critters but cant find him now. Freeze drying is the way to go IMO

I've got a call into him, I pulled this off an old old thread on another website. By the sound of his voicemail he still has the same number and is still in business, so we will see! I've wanted one ever since I saw the pics he was posting years ago

Yes, never heard back. Called again and pretty sure he picked up and hung up... Maybe I'll try once more.

I saw a fossil of one the other day. It was freaking cool. They had removed the rock around it so it was coming out of the sediment (situ). It was awesome. I think he was going to sell it.
