Wolf by Tumwater campground
« on: June 26, 2013, 08:53:00 PM »
Driving back from Methow last Saturday around dusk {About 9:30 } heading West about 2 miles past the Tumwater Bridge and campground i saw the car in front of me tap his brakes, There were a lot of deer around so I slowed down. Then I saw what he saw. A black wolf trotted up to the road on the left turned around and trotted back into the brush. I don't know how anyone could mistake a wolf for a Coyote........I got a good look from about 35 ft. away. Huge, black and self assured. {Not scared}
The first bird may get the worm, but it's the second rat that gets the cheese.

The guy ahead of you needs to be informed that the wolf pedal is the one on the far right.  8)

I also saw a wolf on the south side of the freeway around mid May, it was standing in a small field just watching traffic, about 2-3miles west of tumwater as well. I would have turned around and got a pic if I didn't have the trailer and family with me. It was a grey one with a fairly whitish coat.

On a side note that was the second wolf I saw in one months time! There are really starting to populate I'm afraid!!!

Regards,
H&F

Not good reports for the chiwawa unit, with it being summer I am surprised there haven't been more sightings.
