Chest holster
« on: June 27, 2013, 07:58:39 AM »
I'm looking for a nylon chest holster for my Ruger 44. I've tried a couple other holsters, they just didn't fit right with my pack on. Anybody use or know of one I should be checking out.

Thanks

Cabelas carries the Gunmate that can go cross chest or waist.  It is big enough for a scope.  The negative is that it is all velcro for the cover.  There seems to be more choices for the shorter barrels, but this is the only I could find to fit a 7 1/2".

I use the Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 4 for my Super Redhawk.  No scope though.

Does it have to by nylon? There are some nice leather chest holsters on the market right now.

Simply Rugged has a conversion kit for one of their holsters to turn it into a chest rig.
7x Leather also has a nice looking leather chest holster similar to the Diamond D posted above.

Grizzly Tough makes custom nylon holsters but they appear to be more vertically oriented holsters rather than more of a cross draw.
