So I am shooting better but still not like I was...grrr.  I came up with another question though...

On my string, between my D loop and lower limb, there's a soft rubber "thingy" that looks like a bead (a bead you'd use to make a beaded necklace).  It's the same soft rubbery consistency as the silencers that are on the string.  However, it's able to be moved...I can slide it up to the D Loop or down the string.  I have no idea what it is. Originally, I thought maybe it was some type of "kisser" but it's definitely on the wrong side of the D Loop for that.  I am guessing it's another type of silencer but there's not one above the D Loop.  While waxing, I know I moved it but I don't know where it originally was!  I sure wish I'd have paid attention to that.  If that "bead" is in the wrong location would it effect anything?

As for my shooting, we spent some time on my family's property over the past couple of days.  Our pasture is being ruined by gophers.  So, I did some target practice on them...lol.  I missed 3 that were at least 50 yards away but I did hit 2 that were between 20 and 30 yards out.  So I guess that's not too bad!

Sounds like an eliminator button to me.  Just cut it off - "carefully"!  No need for it if you have a D-Loop.  Some guys use them as speed buttons, but I don't want anything that can slip anywhere near my cam.  In the woods what can go wrong usually does so I try to eliminate as many potential risks as I can.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
