no buck on camera but bucks in the area
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:02:00 PM »
Just checked my trail camera today and got 500 pictures of doe's and one spike I have a salt lick along with a corn feeder there. Should I just wait it out and see if the doe brings bucks around or what?

Don't know if it helps but its private property that has not been hunted for deer...I have seen other nice bucks on other set ups out on the property but with so much land I know there are some monsters in the section that I have this set up at..... any advice to get shy bucks to show themself?

Do you think the doe's will eat all the apples before any of the bigger bucks get around to it? Also being that the land has never been hunted I poured a mess of apple sause on my starter corn pile and bam had deer in there 5 hours after setting up this camera.

bucks are more dominant when it comes to feed..they will run the does off. You will get bucks in..just give it some time..gets better as the heat of summer starts drying out everything

I guess I will have to wait it out. I guess I can say I am somewhat new to using trail cameras I have always been a spot and stock hunter but I am liking the ability to see the deer and seeing the trails they are taking in and out
