Wolf near 49
« on: July 12, 2013, 08:22:59 AM »
This pic was taken July 11th out of the window of a car. looks like the wolves are getting a little more willing to show them selves closer to homes. I was talking to my gf's mom yesterday and she was telling me how she had seen a wolf on her way home earlier in the day. At first i was like ya right it was probably just a big coyote or something, so i asked her if she took a picture to wich she replied yes look at this. I now belive her.

Can a wolf jump that fence?

Jump it? It can walk right through it. It's just a barbed wire fence. :dunno:

How close to a house?

Probably about 200 yards. theres not a ton of houses around but there are about 5 houses within a 1/4 mile from where this pic was taken.

Here's another wolf pic in 49 degrees that was near homes along Hwy 20 south of Ione. This photo was taken and forwarded to me this late spring.

The fence just keeps the fawns from getting away from the wolves.  :'(

Just crazy.  Looks like a deer leg in the mouth of the black one.  At least the leg doesn't belong to a child.

It is a deer leg, the woman who took the photo was very close to the wolf, she saw a gray wolf in nearly the same spot the day before so had her camera the day she took the photo.

So it appears we have confirmed wolves on both sides of 49 degrees, south of Ione and just out of Chewelah.  :bash:

Almost forgot, my son was biking on the trails out at the LPO Lakes in the north side of 49 degrees and saw lots of wolf tracks.
