Seems unconstitutional to me though since i can legally carry my hunting rifle any where i want whenever i want with few exceptions, that it would be illegal to have it in the woods  :dunno:

Well that's a whole different conversation   You just told us to show you where it was ever written that they said you couldn't, so we did  :chuckle:

Just go with a hunting buddy(your girl) she can carry and watch your back

In 2008 its stated it is illegal to carry any firearm in the field while archery hunting.  In 2009 they changed that to say except for handguns for personal protection by people with concealed permits.

For the record I agree with your assessment that it's unconstitutional

Go hunting. Thousands of people do it every year. Up until 2-3 years ago, everyone in this state went bowhunting unarmed. Go for it.

I actually discussed that situation with a gamie in '08 cause I was hunting on federal land and they say that you can carry a sidearm during any outdoor recreating on federal land. He told me that the laws do contradict themselves and that they were not going to enforce their no handgun law and that it was going to be changed the next year.

Or you could just go hunting. What would you guys have done 5 years ago when it was not legal to carry? I carry when bowhunting, but when I couldn't I still went.

You have no choice. You can't carry at the risk of losing your freedom for a long time.

Dont even give it a thought. There were times when we couldent either, Some did anyway but most did not. Did not even stop to consider going out without. The hunt goes on!

You can die easier sitting on the couch eating potato chips getting fat and having a heart attack.

So, your advice to a felon is to carry while hunting? The chance of him getting checked by a gamie or other LE is much higher than the general population. I don't know about you, but I get checked every couple of years. All due respects, but your advice is terrible.
