My husband thinks it's too personal to give the bride and groom a "his and hers" hunting rifle for a wedding gift. I thought it was a great idea (since I have no other ideas). What do you guys think?
If you have a local gun store that you like to support, maybe a gift certificate for 2 rifles would be a good comprimise, I can understand not wanting to buy something like a rifle, as we all have our preference, and they might not have had a chance to pickup and hold what they may like, either that or go with a solid known platform in common calibers and let them know they can trade in/up if wanted? I think its a great idea, I plan on doing the no gift thing at our wedding, maybe a cash tree but even that I dont like the idea of... now if someone showed up with a 45-70 my whole opinion on wedding gifts would change in a heartbeat lol.
