If your standing on a slope looking down your facing north

I'm pretty sure he left out the word and.  It should read like this...

If you're standing on a slope looking down hill and you're facing north.

Note I changed your to you're, and put down hill vice just down, but it makes sense, give him a break.  I've been known to eff up on a keyboard my own self.

If your standing on a slope looking up and your on a north facing slope.....its north facing
If your stading on a slope looking sideways and your on a north facing slope.......its north facing
If your in a tree looking at a slope and its on a north facing slope.......its north facing
If you drink too many Busch Lights before you answer someones question and confuse the hell out of everyone else and roll down a north facing slope....its still north facing

North facing= faces north
:chuckle:That's funny.

Smossy, don't worry, we all just love giving people a hard time.  A lot of us grew up knowing what constitutes a north facing slope before we could write cursive.  ( i don't know if i still can write cursive)  anyway hope one of the answers that was givin helped.

:yeah:That's still makes me laugh..... :P

Hypothetical question, lets say you live in Hood River, OR and you are going to head South to Government Camp on Mt Hood. Would you tell someone that you are heading "down" to Government Camp since you are going South or would you tell them that you are headed "up" to Government Camp since you are traveling uphill? Which takes precedence when telling someone where you are headed, direction or elevation?

I have had arguments with family members over this discussion.  :dunno:

More pressing: Is next Saturday tomorrow, or 8 days from now?  My bid is 8 days from now, as distinguished from this Saturday, which is tomorrow.  What say you?

That's easy man!  Next Saturday which would could also be called the Saturday after next is definitely 8 days from now, and this Saturday is tomorrow. If you bid is due Saturday then it is due tomorrow so you better get to work  :)

Bid =  choice of options

You'd be surprised how the this/next distinction screws people up, so it is always best to be explicit.

It is usually wetter on a North facing slope.
Unless of course you are lost and actually on the South facing slope where it is often drier due to sun exposure.
The further South of the equator you go elk may actually prefer the South facing slopes.
If there were elk south of the south end of the equator.
All that being equal this post equates to about nothing.

North facing, South Facing, facing North, facing south, Bleh!!

Look for shade, LOL

No seriously, the nastiest shady spots you can find.

This should make it easier, Is the "North facing slope"
The one on the red side, or the green side?

The red side, however I would say that particular slope is actually facing a little bit more NW than N.  :chuckle:  :chuckle:
