someone asked my advice, here is a reminder of my 2.
« on: July 19, 2013, 07:30:02 PM »
:) my advice: sneak into your call sites like you are sneaking up on Chuck Norris, every step can get you killed. watch the wind. when you start to call, call to a coyote that is 50 feet away. tiny mouse squeaks. you can make them with your lips or back of your hand, sucking or blowing.
LOOK FOR AN EAR, NOSE, TAIL,  not for a coyote. after 5 mins, go for it, call loud, die, get your ass bit, scream, wiggle the call, vary air pressure. quiet down a bit and die. Then do it again, whimper and whine like begging yer wife!! LOL
I like to imagine, me: a rabbit hanging out in a field, I see a yote and kinda warn my friends, he comes closer, OH NO, run you guys, oh *censored* hes got me, he is ripping my leg to pieces, scream, SCREAM, die.
shut up, watch.    if nothing.

slime out, like Chuck Norris will kill you. like a sniper is waiting for you.    study the site, your approach, the travel routes, brush or fence lines, how can you approach it differently? did the temp. effect the travel of scent? heat rises, cold sinks. make notes. Is there coyote sign? tracks- scat? The more professional you are the harder you work, the more you'll kill.
Take the effort you put into elk or deer, multiply by 10 if you want to kill coyotes

wow great advice!  some people think coyotes are stupid and easy to kill. In some cases yes, but in most it couldn't be further from the truth.

True--I've seen very few that weren't already on the alert, like something was wrong, but they couldn't figure out what it was.  The ones that DO figure it out, you'll never see...
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

This advice is bogus. You can never sneak up on Chuck Norris.  :chuckle:

Chuck Norris not only saw you wake up this morning, he saw you wake up this morning, last Tuesday.

Good advice. The yote I called in friday was from like 150 yards out....he saw me and started to leave, I mouth squeeked and hunkered down..he turned right around and b lined it to me. While I was not super surprised he heard me, it was impressive how far he did hear from and how it brought him in.
