My dad got a 13lber years ago out or Irrigon that was 36" long. I bet yours is in that range. I would take pics and measurements for a replica mount and either release the fish or get ready for a fish fry! Nice 'eye! I would like to get one like that someday.

I would, that thing is a hawg! A friend of mine caught a 34 incher a few years back that weighed 17lb, 4 oz!

Holy cow, BCL - that is a toad!  Roosevelt fish that I assume you released since you didn't get a weight?  At 36", had you caught that fish pre-spawn in March or April, it would likely have been flirting with the state record.

Beautiful fish.  She has created many walleye for you already.  They sure aren't very tasty when they're bigger than 22" though
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

That would make a beautiful mount.  It is obviously huge, but I don't think that that should be the only criteria for mounting.  It is a beautiful fish and a walleye is one mount that I have always wanted.  They look so cool with all of their teeth sticking out.

We will be over at Roosevelt this next weekend and hope to get some decent Walleyes. Not sure if I want to make the trip up there to the Spokane arm, or try down around San Poil, but hope we get something even 1/2 that size. Nice fish!

You have to consider where you caught it. Even if'n it was caught in the Columbia it might be a mounter but in Roosevelt it's a mounter for sure!!

I've always said 15# and I'm getting a skin mount.  Thinking I should have lowered that to 13# so I could have a school mounted, lol.  Great fish.  If you didn't mount her, I hope you released her.

Nice Eye Rick!  Mounter for sure..Is that your biggest?  You jigging?

We were pulling cranks using snap weights to bounce down on the bottom. 50 ft of line--1oz snap weight--then enough line to feel it start bouncing--then up a couple cranks on the reel to get it just off the bottom--1.75 to 2 miles per hour. It is my biggest but have seen a couple about the same size my brothers caught. Sometimes you get lucky!! I always return anything over 24"but decided to do a skin mount so my guests can view and enjoy her beauty.

If Timbertiger Taxidermy is still around you should check him out. He does good fish work. He was in the Moses Lake - Warden area. I never took a fish there but some of his work is in the Mardon store. Looks great!

I'm not sure what I would do. I caught a 7lber on the arm 2 weeks ago and threw it back. When my buddy pissed himself and asked why, my reasoning was to do my part of keeping them in the waters.  Right or wrong it's not hard to get our fair share of good eating fillets. That's a hog!

I could have caught and KEPT 16 of those hogs according to the WDFW and the Spokane Tribe.....That sucks.......

Just took the fish in to Garry Blew in Deer Park.  Checked out his mounts and I was sold. A little pricey but this is the only time I'll do this so I am having it done by the best!! He has a National Taxidermist Championship for a smallmouth he did a few years back. Going to be a long wait.
