I would seriously consider mounting it.  My wife might have other ideas though

My dad got a 13lber years ago out or Irrigon that was 36" long. I bet yours is in that range. I would take pics and measurements for a replica mount and either release the fish or get ready for a fish fry! Nice 'eye! I would like to get one like that someday.

I would, that thing is a hawg! A friend of mine caught a 34 incher a few years back that weighed 17lb, 4 oz!

Holy cow, BCL - that is a toad!  Roosevelt fish that I assume you released since you didn't get a weight?  At 36", had you caught that fish pre-spawn in March or April, it would likely have been flirting with the state record.

I'd release it.

Beautiful fish.  She has created many walleye for you already.  They sure aren't very tasty when they're bigger than 22" though
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

That would make a beautiful mount.  It is obviously huge, but I don't think that that should be the only criteria for mounting.  It is a beautiful fish and a walleye is one mount that I have always wanted.  They look so cool with all of their teeth sticking out.

We will be over at Roosevelt this next weekend and hope to get some decent Walleyes. Not sure if I want to make the trip up there to the Spokane arm, or try down around San Poil, but hope we get something even 1/2 that size. Nice fish!

You have to consider where you caught it. Even if'n it was caught in the Columbia it might be a mounter but in Roosevelt it's a mounter for sure!!
