There are no good, cheap binos. You can get good, or you can get cheap. I would suggest going to the Zenray site and see what they have on special. Check craigslist and ebay. Go to a local pawn shop. Get good glass if you possibly can.

What is your definition of cheap? there is a big difference between $100 and $300 binoculars. Pianoman has good advice, ZenRay has solid binos at a very reasonable price. ZRS HD Summit 10x42 for under $250. I think they do a HW discount as well.

I think you can get good/ok and sort of cheap..............

As Holg3107 pointed out it depends on the definition of cheap.  I think there are pretty good binos for under $300 that will work ok.  :twocents:

I have a pair of Vortex that sure did not break the bank.  I can't remember the model for sure (maybe Diamondback?) and I think they were around $200 or less.  They are not bad.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

$200 Vortex are the Diamondback. Great bang for the buck. Same goes for the Zen-Rays. You can get either one from sponsors of this forum.
Charles from Zen-Ray goes by ZRS8-42 and Paul Medel is a Vortex dealer and goes by Elknut1.

I was fortunate to pick up a $2,000 pair of glass for $600. That, to me, is cheap. Having hunted those for several seasons now, I would find it a waste of my time to not go out with something at least $250 or higher. Minimum quality to be worth hitting the field is like Nikon Monarch or better.  :twocents:

I recently picked up the Vortex Diamondback 10x42 and for the money they are really good. There are several folks on here who will tell you that it is a waste to buy optics unless you buy the best. Unfortunately not everyone can afford thousands of dollars for optics, including me. Get the best you can afford even if that means $20 Bushnells, as they are better than nothing. There was a guy who hunted with us a few times and one day down in the Quilomene he found a pair of 7x35 Tasco binoculars, he was happy as he could be cause up to that point he couldn't afford a pair of binoculars.

Vortex Diamondbacks. Bought my girlfriend a pair and she likes them. Good glass for the price.
