Not a bad little elk....no bull tag though.
« on: July 24, 2013, 08:53:02 PM »
I know a guy.....fella named D-Rock....has a tree stand, some elk, and no bull tag. Sucks for him I suppose......

Would you shoot this guy or let him grow a bit?

This bull will be a stud in a couple years.  It would be a tough call, but the moment always gets the best of me so I'm probably blood trailing about now.

Not a bad little bull  :chuckle:

The best bull I've ever seen was a 7 point at 20 yards, opening day of deer season  :(

He does have weak tops but I have a thing for kickers, and everything else is pretty stellar. I'd be shootin.

I would wait if I had a blue's tag in my pocket, couple more years and he will be a pig.

I'd want him to grow, but I'd shoot.  A kill is better than tag soup, again.

Yea. These new tags don't taste worth a darn, no matter how you cook them.

He'd be hard to pass with those matching kickers, but the thought of him in a couple years would be hard to get past.  With this state though (pending he is in a branched draw only unit), if the guy is lucky enough draw the tag, he surely won't draw it again to have the chance at htis bull.......let alone probably ever see him again.
