Ideas to get access to more urban hunting areas

So..
Have any bowhunters out there have any advice as to convince urban land owners to let you hunt their land?  I've see bowmen put ads on Craigslist and in local papers.  I was able to secure past locations because the landowners were complaining about the deer munching in their garden.  Was able to get a doe on a 2nd to last day of the season.  So, any ideas on how to get the word out to WA landowners who need a bit of culling?  Would be nice to hook up a few newer hunters to the challenge of hunting in someone's back yard.
By the way, the biggest Blacktail buck I've ever seen was in the backyard of a friend of mine's house in Port Orchard.  He lived in a .5 mile long green belt surrounded by houses and small horse pastures.  Never did get to convince my friend to let me get rid of the pest...

Not sure I have any advice other than try to do it before season dressed in normal people clothes instead of camo.  Be polite and always leave it the way it is or pick up trash, and try to get invited back again.  Pretty basic stuff.  I personally hate asking so always hunt public.  Just my personality.  Here is a backyard buck for you.

Here is another fellow.  It was the end of the day and Idabooner and I were headed home.  I see this deer laying in this guys yard, and think NO WAY. That is sure a realistic plastic deer.  Sure enough.

Great thread, I'll be curious as to the ideas that come out of it.  Living in suburbia myself I get a chance to see some good bucks, I've seen 3 in the last week that were really nice.  I would be interested in trying to put something together though to open up more areas, I think a guy could get a nice trophy if it all worked out.

Those are some nice looking muleys Bone, however I have a hard time with seeing muleys so close to developments, they look much better in the mountains....

A buddy of mine ran an ad in a local towns paper one year and got access to some land, ended up shooting a 135 blacktail. My other buddy got permission for a sweet little piece of property one year and even though he didn't shoot anything that year he still took the time to go back in the spring with a couple springer salmon as a thank you to the guy and now he doesn't have to ask anymore and the guy gave him exclusive hunting for the archery season.

you might just want to goto the local region office of the WDFW and ask them if they know of anyone getting depridation permits or if anyone is looking for hunters to take care of the deer or elk getting into there crops. ranchers and farmers get these permits when deer and elk get into there crops.

Get in touch with the local game bio. They usually know who is having problems with animals and can often put you in touch with them. You might also drive a few areas and look for likely candidates (i.e. houses with gardens or nice landscaping). I've had a number of friends who have animals on their property they'd like me to shoot or they know of neighbors who've complained about destructive animals. Although I have yet to do one of these hunts I have several in mind I may try over the next few years.

I have a letter of introduction with my contact information, and a landowner use agreement I found on the internet and altered for my own use.  That way if no one is home I can still drop it off and possibly get a call later.

I dropped off several use aggreements and Hello Can I letters this week.

Found a sweet alfalfa patch covered with 5 shooters and a no BS MONSTER BT... but its looking like everyone within a few blocks loves them so much that letting me borrow one of them is too much to ask...oh well

If you see deer on private land see if there is public access somewhere nearby such as DNR

I found talking to them about coyotes works. explain to them ya seen some yotes on there land and they love too eat the baby little poodle and you would be happy to rid them . well when they see the dead yote they cant thank ya enough, and come deer season they repay ya with there land. all to yourself.
