my son is a taxi in Texas and he says the problem is that there is way less taxis now than in the past and more hunters now than before.so either learn to do it yourself or give them the time they need to do them right.just think if there is ten taxis in wa. that do great work and there is thousands of jobs to do each year there will be a back log and complaining about them doesnt help especially if they quite doing it because of the unhappy customers.and that might be just what she did...so thanks.

Wow found the deep end did ya!
The "so thanks" is pretty jerk like.
The issue is her lack of communication.
And another point is unhappy customers don't just walk in the door they are cause of lack luster work.

On  her FB page I just noticed it said "former" taxidermist at Michelle Nelson's Taxidermy... I wonder if she has stopped doing taxidermy.

No, I assure you she is still doing taxidermy. She better be, she has my turkey from this spring!

But yes, as others have said, she is on vacation right now.

Dude really go away !
The op is obviously at wits end and has no resolve in sight so why crap on his topic?
Seems to me like other than involving the man he has tried everything to get his work or his gear back.

New or old a person should have equal voice, especially on this sort of topic!

Post counts don't mean much anyway, since people play stupid Pump Up The Count games anyway.

steve,im not the one who started any of the other threads and the last one I posted on got locked. That was far from a rant, just facts. She will know exactly who I am it was included in my messages through this site.Funny how this doesn't seem to be an issue with other taxidermist on this site but keeps coming up with Michelle.Do you really think we are all making up stories? The point of this thread is to get my property back, nothing more.I have tried to get in touch with her and honestly feel like i'm being ignored. If it comes to "deal with it like you know you should"I won't be quiet about it.People should get honest reviews of taxidermist on this site even if negative.

I agree, question though why would you pay someone to do a simple euro?or is the bear rug getting done with the euro scheme? How big is the bear?Did you get them with rifle or bow?
Because i live in a townhouse and don't want to deal with the smell.Bear is north of 6 ft killed with a 308

If she's three years behind i seriously doubt yhis one thread or even all tue ones mentioned will ruin her business. I do appreciate the heads up. Three years is too long unless everyone originally agreed to that.

I have no problem getting ahold of her, and would have no problem leaving a bear with her if I shot one.    :dunno:

This is a prime example of what the internet does for you ...when you are on a site like this and it is all hunters and taxidermists and who ever else is using the site and are counting on the people who advertise their business like Michelle and they are good at what they do and then they get way more than they can handle and it causes issues like this ...I know she does awesome work ...and most of us have watched them blossom into some fine taxidermists and getting better everyday , I hope you have your facts straight before making such negative comments ...It takes a lot of time to get animals out the door especially when your good and your buried in animals to get done ... :twocents:

She's posted a lot of her excuses/reason/whatever you want to call them elsewhere in older post.  I would assume she is still trying to recover from them and those might be the same "answer" you will be getting here once she post.

These post do seem to pop up a lot more often than I would like to see for someone doing work for me.

If I wanted a bear rug (don't need more mounts) I would take it to Michelle and if I am lucky enough to kill a decent bull this year she will do the euro if I choose to have one done.

Communication is key. If you come off abrasive and demanding you may not get the response you want, if you get a response at all.
