I don’t mean to gang up on you, but that’s no way to run a business. You can’t just take someone’s animal and nearly a grand and then disappear off the face of the earth, without so much as a quick call to your in-process customers to at least let them know.

I think Machine was 10x as patient as I would have been.

I didn't just disappear.

I don't think you realize how many customers have stuff "in-process".  from the moment someone drops off an animal it is "in-process".  Do you know how many and how long it would take to make that many phone calls?

If I go on vacation from my job I leave a message on my voice mail that I will be unavailable from this date to that date.  :dunno:  :twocents:

Do you own your own business or do you work for someone else?

When I go on vacation that usually means I am not going to be home or around the Shop for extended periods of time.

I will NOT leave an extended greeting letting people know that I am not going to be available between specific dates.  That is just IMO giving shaddy people that call me the green light to break into my House/Shop and when the best time to do that would be.  No sir, not going to happen.

Now if you work for another company and go on vacation I can understand doing that because there are probably going to be other employees working while your gone.

At least her friends & the site admins get her top attention & service!!!

Ummm.......OK.  Statement just told me you just felt like you needed to poke me with a stick just to have something to say.  Since your statement has no base or fact to it.  Might want to read through page 1-4 at some of my "friends and admins" posts.  Some of them have posted how long they have been waiting.

Just look at her Facebook page and see what she's been doing with her (spare time)  :dunno:

Please do. . . .and do note the time that I am on posting.  Majority of posts are after 9-10pm and as late as 3am.  When I am canning the excess produce from my garden.  While I am waiting for the canner to get done or waiting for pressure to build up.  Since that is the only "spare time" I have to do it.

Yet members on here freely post you're on vacation? I understand your reasoning but you also stated you were home doing overdue projects. I'm not digging at you but there has to be a better way for you and your customers to avoid problems in the future.

I can't control what people post on here.  BTKR is a friend of mine.  I had told him I was on vacation.  Fillthefreezer is a customer of mine and he sent me a text about this thread.  I replied back with I was on vacation.  Since I was at home.  I didn't mind them posting it.

If you have ideas I am open to them.

Today is the first day since July 1st that I have "read" or "answered" any PM's sent to me on this site.  For the last couple months I have not been receiving E-mail notifications from HuntWA when I do get a PM (not sure why).  Also I have not answered my phone.  No one was intentionally being ignored out of malice.

Right about here. But hey it's you and your business being called into question not mine. Just some advice though and I am truly saying this to help not be an ***. When you and your business get blasted on a social media site, it's best to address the complaints and apologize not come on and make a bunch of excuses.

I'm not saying that it is the case here, but the addressing of issues by businesses on social media could often be done much better.

It's better to offer an explanation or mea culpa, and then fade away from the topic.  Becoming involved in a reactionary debate where you are almost always on your heels does no good.

How am I making excuses?  I came on and simply stated the facts and let people know what was going on.

When people are making comments that "I would rather hunt than work" or that "I cater to friends and admins".  When those are untrue statements I am not going to apologize for something that isn't true.

Look you obviously aren't getting it. And I really don't want to pile on. Good Luck to you.

She clearly isn't. Turkeyfeather is offering sound advice. Swallow your pride. I realize the customer isn't always right, but in a business the customer is always right. Get it?

Has Michelle had a chance to address the OP's issue?  Maybe a major cleanup instead of locking it may be more appropriate.

Obviously the OP has a problem.

But, there are people who have dog piled into this topic who have not been affected and are turning it into a witch hunt rather than simply letting any affected members look for a response.

I am locking it for now and will discuss with mods.
