Primaloft vs. Thinsulate
« on: July 25, 2013, 07:46:33 PM »
I have a pair of boots with 400 grams of Thinsulate and was wondering how it would compare to 200 grams of Primaloft?  :dunno: Thanks for any help.

When dry I don't see much difference between my Primaloft boots and Thinsulate boots.  So difference dry is nothing more than your 200 gram boots have half the insulating properties.  However, once wet I have found Thinsulate pretty much worthless where Primaloft still manages to keep my feet warm.  Be interesting to see if others have experienced the same.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
