I need a Remington 700 7mm Magnum. ADL , BDL , I don't care about condition. My buddy and me are going to rechamber it. So chances are, it probably will be in better condition now.👍

A " 7.21 Sage ". My variant of a 7mm-300 Winchester. There are several versions out there 7mm Practical, 7mm Rouge, 7mm Valkeri to name a few. I had my reamer built to my specks as in my preference for body taper, neck length, shoulder angle etc. If my math is right I should be able to hold right with the 7mm Ultra magnum with a 180gr VLD, using close to 18grs less powder when it comes to Retumbo.

Good little long range varmint cartridge.  I can go prairie dog hunting in South Dakota without leaving Washington.  Velocities are showing up in the Mach 7-8 range.  Takes a really slow powder, though.  Right now I'm using ground up Kingsford Briquettes, but am probably going to work up a load using straight anthracite soon.

Here's a reply I read on a forum concerning necking down large powder devouring cartridges, got a good laugh out of the reply.

" That's nothing. I once necked down a 105mm artillery case to .177 caliber. was firing those copperhead pellets at around the speed of light. they would disintegrate, go back in time, kill a dinosaur and then create a wormhole in the space time continuum through which I would then enter an alternate universe as Emperor Xaseilsn, master of all I surveyed. "

I believe jjhunter built a very similar rifle that he hunts with, he doesn't hesitate to shoot 1000 yards if he has to.

I prefer the 190gr 7mm Matrix over the Berger 180 VLD in my heavy short mag, I would like to see how they preform out of the .300 Win mag based chambering.
