Does anyone use interlock broadheads?
« on: July 29, 2013, 06:36:26 PM »
I'm looking at switching my broadheads to the new interlock broadheads with the BAT option. currently I am using thunder head 100 gr bone chiseler that I have never had any issue with except trying to tune the arrows for broadheads.  Just wondering if any of you guys or ladies use the blade alignment technology. By the looks of them I think it would be real handy to have for adjustment. The exact ones I'm looking at is carbon turner 100 gr. Here is the link
http://www.innerloc.com/Pages/bat-tech2.htm. Any input would be great.

Not a bad concept for blade alignment.
Even though it doesn't make a darn bit of difference, I always line up my main blade horizontally on a 2 or 4 blade head. With a 3 blade, I have to have either one blade up or down.
I set up 6 Easton Axis arrows(w/HIT inserts) with 125 gr Viper Tricks. I installed, removed, sanded with the stone supplied, re-installed etc until perfectly aligned. Kinda time consuming but I can sleep at night now.

Buddy of mine shoots them and likes them very much.  Shot a cow with them twice complete pass through shots she never knew what hit her.  I might pick up 6 to try out this season.

I have shot them off and on over the years. Pretty solid head. If I remember right "which does not happen often" :chuckle: I think the owner of interlock might of designed the muzzy broad head. Don't hold me to it but I seem to remember something like that. I have shot there 3 blade 75g/3 blade 125g and there 5 blade heads.

Where's rad? He will for sure know.

He built the original Muzzy's for John Musacchia and designed the slotting equipment they (Muzzy) use.  Or so he told me years ago :dunno:  Nice guy!

The BAT actually works pretty well.  Though I agree with Sako...doesn't matter one bit to sight shooters beyond mental anguish and clearing riser obstacles'.  Quite a bit of benefit to those shooting bare bow by making the sight picture consistent.

For me the blades are too soft and dull.  But there are definitely worse heads on the market for sure.

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
