3-D WIRE SHOOT August 17/18 Tacoma Sportsmens Club
« on: July 29, 2013, 09:17:50 PM »
Hey All, Just a little reminder about the last 3-D shoot of the year at the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club. This is a get ready for HUNTING 3-D shoot. Unlike all our other 3-D's you can use you range finder at this shoot. The shots will all be hunting scenario shots you can choose to shoot the target or you may choose NOT to shoot the target, it up to you. The targets will be set up in hunting situations, there will be a little nail with a wire attached to it. You shoot the target, you go up to score the shot, if you spin the wire on the nail around and it touches your arrow then its (+10) points, if you spin the wire and it DOES NOT touch your arrow then it's (-10 points). You can choose NOT to shoot the target and it is a ( 0 ). Some of you might have seen the Shoot on the WSAA calender as August 10/11 but due to some Club calender issues we had to push it to August 17/18. Hope to see you there.

Wouldn't miss it. Should be there with my son and hopefully one more. It's sad to see these shoots coming to an end.

After shooting the Hunters Dreams shoot this last weekend at GHB I am thinking about doing this one also.  How many people usually shoot and what is a good time to show up to not get caught in a line at the course?

Being that this is the first 2 day wire shoot we are having, my best guess will be 100-125 people. As usual the earlier you shoot the better. Or if you come in around 10 , that should put you at the tail end and it should start to thin out by the time you get 1/2 way through.

Hope to see you there Darren so we can talk more about that shoot idea. Here is a sneek peak of the Wire Shoot trophies. The classes will be male/female bowhunter freestyle, male/female traditional, male/ female youth, cubs, pee wee.

Sweet trophies.

Bowhunter freestyle is anything goes for gear or are there restrictions on what you can have on your bow.  My seven pin sight put in me out of bowhunter freestyle at GHB and into straight freestyle.

This shoot is not like a normal 3-d with all the limitations . You can have as many pins as you want or if you hunt with mover sight, it don't matter it will all be the same. Pretty much a compound class and a traditional class with male and female division in each. You can use rangefinders/bino's also.
