Help!! i may have made a bad purchse

I'm not familiar with that sight, but the pin appears to be sideways (oriented vertical instead of horizontal). Are there horizontal wires I can't see?

First thing I would do is junk that rest, take it to a shop have them put a new rest on and tune it up. You'll be good from there. 

Not a thing wrong with that NAP Quick Tune rest.

No, I agree. But I dont think its a good choice for a new, first year bow hunter. That was all I was gettin at.

Was a time when the NAP Quik Tune was the benchmark all other rests tried to duplicate..........Id shoot a quik tune before Id ever touch a biscut. 

Quik tune is a great rest to start out with and even stay with.  Even though I use Rip Cords, I have kept my quik tunes and still use them in some instances.

I'm not here to thread jack but I have to give a shout out to Old dog and his crew (nice work). Old dog set my boy up with a great bow and made some mods on mine this week. He's extremly knowledgable, curtious and patient.

Old dog, we'll see you soon... My boy slung 100 plus arrows today and I think I'm ready for a drop away.

Or Rock Creek Archery in Enumclaw.  They are working on my old bow right now to get it ready for my wife to start hunting.  Great guys.

pic looks strange...could be just camera angle..or the pulley and cam mounting post/limbs could be defective.

Take a good metal ruller or square and place on side of limb flush with pulley and cam..they better be at 90 degrees. if not they are bent.  More than likely the guy might have taken his good rest and sight off and just slapped his old stuff on it and it just isnt set up and adjusted.  This is simple stuff for about any bow shop.  This is a bad time toi find this out as many shops are swampped right now.

Good luck..I wouldnt freak out yet may be nothing. The rest and sight are adjustable as long as the bow is mechanically safe...even a slight tweek could be compensated for with tuning..but you will have to do the sight..and should learn how to set arror rest..get a tool
