Hate to be skeptical, but this really sounds like a fish tale, or somebody smacked a GRIZZ.  Once a bear gets over 20, "they start" measureing in 1/8 increments....for a reason... 23 is unreal.  Whats world record?

Been biting my tongue on this one as well.

Any pics to follow up?

I am thinking this is a very TAAAAALLLLLLLLL  Tale.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Hi my name is Lars Swartling and I currently have the Washington state record bear. It score is 21 12/16, and is not listed in the Washington record book. This last year it was accepted into Boone and Crockett in the 26th edition. The bear came Mica Peak in Spokane and was shot in 2001.
