we got him out whole his weight was 558 lbs. on a scale not guessed. his measurement was off base by the taxidermist, with a set of calipers it measures 21 5/16, the right side of his head is flat by close to 1/2 inch looks deformed , hit by car??? my buddy shot him with a slug at 35+/- yds the area is one solid patch of blueberries, it's a chunk of private ground thats 30 acre parcel, is a shotgun only area, otherwise i would have had a shot at him on sat. i ranged him broadside at 125 i wish i had my 7mag i would have taken a poke at him . ok here we go with some more pics that suck.

wasn't a member in time for the comp.  Not a contender, but that is one hell of a bear.  I think I have only seen two close to it, one in NE WA next to the border and one in Alaska.   Congrats to your friend.

What a freakin monster!  Wow.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
