Isn't there actually three different season starting dates? August 1, August 15, and September 1?

Honestly, I don't know. I don't have the game laws in front of me. If there is, what part of the state is each start date ?

Thanks.....

Coastal, Puget Sound, North Cascades, East Cascades, Columbia Basin - Aug 1st.
South Cascades, Okanogan, Northeastern B - Aug 15th.
Northeastern A, Blue Mountains, Long Island - Sep 1st.

Side tracked a little for a second:

I saw a big badger today, would that count as a trophy if we could shoot them ?

Easy.....people are going to start turning on you!

I am celebrating opening day in my own way....opened a pack of bear pep sticks and had a little early morning snack.
