Montana Antelope Success

I left for montana on the 16th for a Antelope hunt. I have some friends that are ranchers in Central montana so I have a place to stay and hunt. I got there and we got a phone call that another rancher needed help moving his cows from one pasture to another one. He said bring your gun and if you see antelope while we are moving cows i could go try and get him.
We get to the pasture and I don't see any cows. I ask were the cows are. Well this pasture is 7 miles long and 6 miles wide. We need to find them and I am the only hunter in this area. So they unload their horses.
I unload my horse. His name in Grizzly 450
We all spread out to find the cows. After about 4 hours we get them all going in the right direction. So I go over a little ridge into a long coulie ( sp ? ) I am sitting at the bottom and out of the corner of my eye I see movement. About 200 yards away there are two bucks chasing a doe around and headed right at me. All of the sudden the doe turns 90 degrees and heads up the hill. I run about 20 yards up the hill and sit down into a sitting position to shoot. ( I lost my shooting sticks sometime while chasing cows all over the place ). When I sit down I land right on a Cactuse. It hurt like hell. So I don't have shooting sticks and I am trying to balance on one butt cheek because the other side is full of cactuse. I miss a 150 yard shot and they all run up the hill at full speed. I run up the other hill and they have stopped 200 yards out. I find a safe place to lay down and shoot again. One of the bucks drops and never moved. That Tikka 270 WSM with 140 grain Accubonds did a number on him. I was by myself so I load him up and chase some more cows tell someone can take pictures for me.
I finally catch up to the herd.
Some old mad cows needed some help moving. These dogs are awesome. Blue healers and Aussis
Seen some of these guys to.
Finally get some pictures. He is about 13" on one side and 13.5 on the other. His prongs from front to back are right at 7".

Great looking buck, probably the only time you'll kill an antelope while on a cattle drive.

A couple of big rocks to the head and the snake was in a better mood. It was unit 481.
