Anyone seeing anything?
« on: August 01, 2013, 07:42:25 AM »
Been sitting in the same cut since daybreak. Seen a coyote, a Doe and one decent sized bear. Could have taken a Long shot but I'm not into that with a bear so tried to get closer. I got around 150 yards away and he fed out of site over the hill. Could here him pushing brush for about 15 minutes and have not heard anything since. How's everyone else doing?

Well I thought I saw a bear... A good sized one at that. The ears looked small and everything. Then much to my surprise it started talking to a guy in front of me. And then I  realized it was a cafeteria lady here at work... Having only h20 as a size reference, I'm fairly certain she could bench press him...

Unfortunately anything short of a howitzer may just make her mad... I backed put slowly till I got out of eyesight then ran like a scalded dog.

Seen one on the way home last night from work  :bash: too bad it was along the south bound side of the freeway near Maytown.
Some animals WERE harmed in the making of this Hunter. They were also dragged through the dirt, butchered and tasted delicious fried with butter and bacon.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to decide what I'm gna do after work. I got all my fishing gear and my boat ready to hit the river for opening day pinks. But now all the bear talk has got me on the fence. On one hand, the pinks could be in and biting or it could be a waste of time. On the other hand, all I have for bear sign is a print and occasional poo. Decisions decisions.

Not near enough pinks in the salt in our area let alone the river.......bear hunting all the way....not even a choice.
