redfield scopes ??

im in the market for a new scope but funds are tight right now. so I was looking at the lower end scopes and found redfield... made in America, lifetime replacement, and cheap ! so whats the catch ?? any input would be greatly appreciated

If you get the Redfield Revolution (made in U.S. by Leupold) you should be good to go.  I've ran a 2X7 on a 7-08, and one on a 338-06 from when they first came out.  I have had zero issues.

You can't beat Leupolds customer service.

On a side note the new Redfield Revenge is not made in the U.S.

My dad has one on his 30-06, the revolution or something? He likes it and you can't beat a lifetime warranty.

Do they have fully multicoated optics?

Good question.  All I can find where I've looked on the internet, including the Redfield site is this...  Premium lenses and vapor deposition, dielectric coatings deliver exceptional light transmission in the low-light, blue wavelengths that dominate at dawn and dusk, when game is most active. 

I have the 3x9 Revolution which is very clear and bright at the range.  However I have not had the opportunity to use it yet in low light situations, due to challenges with the weapon it's mounted on.  I bought it based on it being built in the US by Leopold and having the lifetime warranty.

I just like that I could get a 4-14x40 scope for 250$ with the warranty ! i'll let you guys know how I like it after October

I got the Redfield, Revenge, 4-12x42.......Put it on my 17 hmr, I really like it.
As far as the multi-coated lenses, right on the box it says......."Fully multicoated optical system for maximum brightness in all light conditions"

yeah its pretty crazy how much a guy can spend on optics ! in the past I always spent it to  but i'll give these a spin and see what I come up with

I've bought 3 Redfield revolutions. A 2-7 for my. 450 bushmaster and two 4-12's for a AR .223 and a 25-06. Love them. Still run Leupold's on my .300 win mags though.

I got a vxIII on the 300 ultra mag. this is for my new ruger compact 308 so it shouldn't buck it to hard

I run Redfields Revolutionson my 30-06, 30-30, and AR in 223.  I absolutely love them.  I have had ) issues in all weather conditions. And the hold up to my abuse.
Cant beat the price or the warranty.
Keep in mind I only shoot out to 400 yards.
Or 100  yards with the 30-30

I disagree. Leupolds are fairly reasonably priced for the quality AND the warranty.
