wyoming trip dismal
« on: October 21, 2008, 10:06:48 AM »
my uncle and i went to region D in wyoming i saw more moose than deer.lol talked to the biologist down there he said they had a 70% winter kill on the deer pop. that region has about a a 26% hunter success rate, lots of elk down there too. next time i'll do my homework a lil better, out of 40  or so deer camps i saw 5 deer hanging the biggest being about 22" wide 4 point, got lots of hiking in and saw some of the most beautiful country i've ever hunted in, just needed more deer. lol

That's too bad, but unfortunately sometimes that is the case.  Good idea on doing a little more homework next time.  You can never be too prepared when your headed outta state.  Sounds like a good time though.
