What do you bring to hunting camp?
« on: October 20, 2008, 04:29:19 PM »
I'm leaving for elk camp on Friday, I'm trying to remember everything that I should bring to elk camp with me. What do you bring when you are going into the field for 9 days?  :dunno:

Example:
  • ax
    shovel
    tent
    tarp
    chain saw
    gun
    extra ammo
    lantern
    chairs
    etc...

Thanks guys, hope everyone i having a good season.

Thanks, Kramman you should have hunted that area. We went in there on Saturday and killed two really nice 24" 4pt mule deer. they looked like twins.

Ellensburg cracked me up. That would be the Slicker approach to hunting. Dont forget the 2 bags of groceries, full tank of gas, case of beer, smoking jacket, and slippers during your road hunt!!

Most of the obvious was stated, however, give some consideration to"
Compass
Area map(green trails)
Thermometer to hang in a tree(Always cool to see what the temp is outside)
Nails, rope, and hammer to hang all those tarps.

Your right. I left some stuff out. 30 case of Keystone light in my new cooler that goes right behind the beer window. That makes the bumpy roads more tolerable.... Its rough out there.
