I want to buy a Savage 111 Trophy Hunter XP/Nikon 3-9x40 BDC combo. Any advice on that scope??Can I use it for big game hunting out to 400-500 yards???

I have the .270 Cal with that scope.

I can sight in a target at 4-500 yards pretty good. But you are not going to count points at that range with any 9x40.  :tup:
You are welcome to check it out prior to your purchase if you want.. Just drop me a PM.

Overall the scope is nice picks up light well and is very clear. but it is a 9 power.. My next scope will most likely be a Nikon but will go up to at least 16 power
