I count quarts as I burn up a quart most every time I go.  And some skeins are much smaller then others.  That is why I go by quarts.
hott damm! A quart a trip :yike:

I guess i only needed someone that knew what they were talking about to steer my right. That king was awsome smossy because of that im gonna have to get me a go pro,it was about 30 yards away but looked every bit of 40 in. long and about a foot thick it was awsome.had my drag set for pinks though took it easy and before i could lighten up it broke the line. 35plb.main 17 pound leader broke the main  :dunno:

That's some heavy gear and it still broke you. Dang. I usually fish 20/15 for kings and silvers. Sometimes 25/20 or 25/15 depending on what river and what the water is like. I never use braid unless for float fishing. Then Ill use braid mainline.

1.  How do you reduce your movie size?  Is there a format which one should use to reduce the size of the file?
2.  Do you put the movies in a place like Photobucket, Youtube, etc?  Then link to that location?

Hit up the puke on Saturday and Sunday. Always a great time. Saturday I fished from 6:30 am to 11am. Bonked my four hens and headed home. Sunday was a bit better and I was having an easier time feeling the fish. Landed 14 and brought home my 4 for the day. Fished from 6:30-9:15, fishing was insane Sunday. At one point I hit 4 fish in 4 casts. The guys next to me were going nuts as they hadn't landed a fish in over an hour.

Just a note: This is pink salmon fishing on the Puyallup. Everyone, please relax a little bit. This is a time when fathers bring their kids and wives down to catch their first salmon. Many people on the line are new and do not know how to fish in a group so please just be patient and help them out. I spent half of my time on the rive netting fish for those around me just to make it a more pleasant day for a few first timers. You are going to get tangled up in someone's line more than once while you are there, take a breath, untangle it and get back to fishing. There is no need to get all worked up and throw a fit like a 5 year old. Also pick up your damned garbage. I brought a full grocery sack of crap out with me on both days. I'm sure it wasn't anyone on here doing it but damn, there is no excuse for the amount of garbage on the bank. That includes fishing line as well. Sorry for the rant, I still always have fun down there, I just wish there weren't people who took it quite so serious and tried to make it more of a positive fishing experience for the youngsters and first timers.

Yes,  I love when the kids show up.  This year a kid waded out with his grand father.  THe grand father would hook up and hand the pole to the kid.  Lots of fun to watch...

:chuckle: Where I was there was a husband wife combo who were very green right next to me. The wife could only cast about 30-40' so her drifts were really really short and instead of waiting she would just cast away right over top of 4 or 5 people. Then the guys casting 30 yards up stream tangling up with everyone and getting pissed when they got tangled as well as the guys who let their rig drift all the way down until it nearly hits the line of people before reeling it in. All in all its a great time and very comical watching two people hung up on each other thinking they just hooked into a masher!!!! I also love the guy who thinks that every fish he hooks is a silver!!! one guy must have yelled "Silver on!!! COMMING DOWN" 15 times and not one was a silver, just a pink snagged in the tail or back. If you can be patient it is one of the funniest times a person can have fishing, hell you don't even have to fish, just sit back and watch the show!

I did get to net a 9 year olds first salmon ever. I felt bad because her dad was at the bank landing a fish and I know he would have loved to net it for her but she was so excited and had lost 5 or 6 already that we had to make sure that she landed this one. I've never in my life seen someone so excited, the whole line of fisherman damned near stopped to watch her for 5 minutes.
