No bear, but a good time...

I ended up hiking Friday evening to this lake in the Cascades. Lots of berries:

Camped there. Lots of thunder and Lightning to the East. It was clear above when I went to sleep. Awoke at 2AM'ish to a downpour.  Didn't have the rain fly on the tent. I was scrambling... Crazy *censored*.

AM at the lake:

People left 8 or 10 beers chilling:
I did the responsible thing and packed out the trash. I didn't want to but I felt it was my duty to drink the beers...

I did a lot of glassing, but didnt' see any bears.  Going to have to mix it up somehow...

Weirdist thing. This girl snuck up on me. I'm sitting there getting ready to head out and she appeared. Very talkative. Said she was with her Dad and sister. I never saw them.

Got a flat tire on the way out. It looks to be an 30-06 case... sucked.

Good time despite the flat.

Good pics, thanks for doing the right thing and not wasting the beer. Sucks about the flat and the downpour but the lightening was fun to watch.

 WHAT???

We don't want to know where the secret bear spot is.  Just wanted to know where to catch us some Rainiers'.  Must be some good fishing with all those on the stringer :chuckle:  All legal 12 ouncers too
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Not sure what is more creepy,  the girl coming out of nowhere or you taking a picture of her.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.
