I love my Asolos

Me too great boot. Will never buy a pair of danners again. Sierra trading post has some good deals on asolo and other boots.

Would echo above recommendation about Sierra Trading Post.  You can get Asolo's and other top notch gear/boots for bottom dollar.  If you can scrounge the coin, I would recommend the Schnees Bearthooth.  Very little break in and comfortable right out of the box.  These coupled with the Latrhop and Son's insole make for a really comfortable boot and have served me well.

What are the best boots you've had in the price range of $140-$200?  My Irish Setters are worn out and I want to get some broke in before hunting seasons starts.  They've been great.  I bought them for $180 4 years ago and they're priced at $209 now so I'm looking at my options.  I'd love your opinions!
Don't know where your at but Sunbirds sells the Setters cheaper.  I think last year I paid 169$  600thinsulate brown elk hunters.
MAGA!  Again..

Slipped on down to the Danner factory store today and bought the very first pair of high grounds sold. Super comfy right out of the box! I think i'll be very happy with them.

I agree, I've had pronghorns, danners just about all the top brands and the asolos really have made an impression on me. Although I have heard good things about Kenetreks

Thank you all for your input.  I'm breaking in a new pair of Danner Pronghorns today.  Sportsmans Warehouse had them on sell for $159 so I figured I'd give them a shot.

Meindl Cabelas "Perfekt" These boots are beyond amazing. They will not leak GARENS. Also, I seriously feel like these boots propel me when I walk, it's nuts. Save up $260 and use these boots forever, and it they do crap out after 4 or 5 years, TAKE THEM BACK AND GET NEW ONES. lifetime warranty.  And trust me on this one, STAY away from any danner hunting boots. Garbage

Don't want to take the wind out of your sails, But keep the receipt, my buddy got the pronghorns and they leaked after like 2 hunt during western WA modern season.

Picked these up recently myself.  They will see about 60 miles in the next month...first impressions are good.

Keep an eye on Sierra Trading Post if you're on a budget. They've got a great return policy, if you're not happy with the buy.

If you're going to be putting lots of miles on your boots and or carrying a load, buy the best fitting boots that you can find with plenty of medial and lateral support. I'm a flat-footer and have a hell of a time finding a pair that give me enough medial support. I finally picked up a pair of Asolo full leathers in wide that are working great.

Also, foot bed inserts like Superfeet can make all the difference in the world. I usually go for the green inserts for the most support. They feel a little wierd at first b/c the arch support is closer to the heel that other footbeds, but that's where your navicular bone is and where you need the support. Put them in your shoes for a couple of hours here and there to break them and your feet in slowly.

I love my Asolo fugitive gtx. They are super comfy and no breakin. Buy from Sierra trading post. Their return policy is unbeatable. I had a pair spring a leak after 2 or 3 seasons, and they exchanged them no questions asked. The lady said they could be 20 years old and if your not happy, they will take them back.

I like my Meindel for the support, but my boots made it 1 year before they started leaking took them back and now have another pair. My buddy also had a pair that were leaking after a couple of months
