113 wolves
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:41:01 PM »
Here are a few wolves from my Trailcams.  I really hate what these things have done to the elk and moose populations in PO county.  Pretty sad.

Glad to see you posted these.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

The area could hold so many more animals then it currently does, no thanks to the wolves.  :bash: People go up north thinking they're gonna see so many animals, but truth is, most are lucky to see ONE during their hunt. Wolves suck. Period.

I'm going up to Priest Lake August 23rd weekend scoping it out. Then' I'm going back without my wife to try my luck again. I was up there 2 times last year trying my luck out. You wanna share where your trail cameras are near ? PM me if you want. I was told that Jack Pine Flats south of Coolin was where they were seeing them last year. I only saw a black bear.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Don't forget an Idaho wolf tag is really cheap; even for a non-resident.   More of us need to get in on the game  :twocents:

Looks like a great spot for wolf pics. Hate to see those on cams...it usually mean "poison"  for our herds!

I know it is a long shot.  I go every year, and have yet to harvest one.  We have come close though :)   However, it is a great excuse to get out in January and February.   Love being in the woods, and sooner or later one will bite the dust.

Nice pictures- thanks for sharing them!  I hear wolves and see sign of them every elk season up here.  It's part of the deal nowadays.

 :yeah:

:yeah: We need all the wolf photos and sightings reported as possible so we can eventually get these critters delisted.

They don't care about 113 wolves. They don't even count towards the pack count. They dont count because they are shared with idaho. There has to be 2 established packs on the westside before anything can happen. So they either transport them to St. Helens and the coast or we wait for them to walk there.  Rumor is is that they will move one of the teaneway packs to St. Helens.

Yes, it's obvious WDFW doesn't care how many wolves are in eastern WA, however, laws could be changed by legislators if they have the evidence to support a change in the laws. As far as wolves go it's very apparent the WDFW doesn't care what happens to our herds in E WA, the legislators are our only hope. Shameful the way predator management has gone. Basically, WDFW refuses to manage predators.

Thanks for posting your photos, I think it really helps to get as many photos out there as possible.
