I've shot one quite a bit.  Have a friend that hunted with one a fare amount in WV and PA.  It works and is fun to play around with.  Perfect product for Field Logic's Retina-Loc sights. Would I spend the money on one for a primary hunting bow?...heck no!!  Nothing more than a novelty item IMO.  Although you could shoot it out of the window of your white Ford pickup :chuckle:

Shhhh, don't tell the Ruskies!

Interesting, I wonder how it groups?

Did you notice how Myles is gripping the bow?  Death grip!!  In my experience with it that's the best way to shoot it.  I think that's why I never got real good groups out of it.  My east coast friend that hunts with it shoots pretty good on the range.  But, he does admit under hunting situations he has a tendency to throw shots left and right.  I think he has taken a couple dozen deer with it over the years...and a few hogs.

Think it would be any good for smallgame bryan?

It is a complete big game type of hunting bow.  So not simply a lightweight small game tool.  Myself hitting small game is more difficult than big game.  So I'd rather shoot a more consistent bow for small game.  Would be a dang expensive setup just to play around shooting small game with.  But it is fun to shoot!  I always enjoy something a little different.

i dont think it would be a forgiving setup. small axle to axle + short brace hieght = bad news.

It does have a 7" brace height and parallel limbs.  Holds quite stable.  I just could not get a decent follow-thru.  The grip is really funky and the reaction of the bow does take some getting use to.  I'm sure with enough practice someone could shoot it quite well.  Then again you have to ask yourself...Why?

Btw - That "Myles" comment is an inside joke.  I'm sure mountainman would love to flip me crap about a lack of accuracy in any statement I might make so I figured I needed to clarify.

Looks like it would be very unstable.

wonder what the FPS is?

Website says IBO is 308.  It felt faster for some reason.

Might point out that this bow is not a new bow to the market.  Seems to me the one I received to play with I got in 2004 and it had been on the market a few years by then.  Still looks the same!  Seems every couple of years it comes back to the surface and guys get all excited about it again.  Then a year later it goes away just to be reborn again a few years later.  Archery has a way of doing that.  Novelties never seem to die in this sport!

I shot one similar to that at the ATA show a few years back.  It was SWEET!!!  I was really tempted to get one to hunt antelope in WY with.  If I could only figure out how to get one without taking a third mortgage on the house :o

HAHAHA!
Now thats funny right there I dont care who you are!

I played around with a Liberty a few years back. I could stack arrows with it at 20 yards but it was also VERY easy to get a flyer if I wanted to... I wouldnt call it forgiving, and I dont think anyone will be stacking arrows with it at 100 yards any time soon :chuckle:

I'm sure if they only made a double hole peep for it everyone would be stacking arrows at 100 yards with it  ;)

Just watch the video - the thing is awesome :chuckle:

I've been asked dozens of times to make one.  Not going to happen.  If it costs me business  :dunno: so be it.  I expect there will be Youtubers that talk about how freakin' awesome it is.  Just like most internet experts.  But, we aren't much into the gimmick game just to make money.  If I thought it was better we would make it.  I have a hard enough time rationalizing selling pink, red and green peep sights which are horrible IMO.  But at least the foundation of our Super-Deuce 38 peep is proven reliable.

Have shot, sold, and set up a few of the Liberty's. agree on the forgiveness, not very good! And very jumpy at the shot. Nothing more then a gimmicky bow. No longer carry them for that reason. Double peep does work. Have shot a double set- up for the last 3 years on novelty 3-d courses. On on a Z7, lately on my Chill. Use a 3/16" RAD with a Tommy Hogg for 0-100 yards, then above it set a 1/4" RAD starting from 110-200 yards. Takes some practice learning how to drop the anchor and still stay fairly secure, but can keep the shots in the heart/ lung on a McKenzie goat 75% of the time at 200 yards. Wins a few s $'s when a few of us are shooting for money!

Lol, I'm not saying I haven't talked about setting one up haha
I can get 150 out of a target setup which isn't always enough for the distance shoots...
I couldn't imagine hunting with 2 peeps on my string though lol

I used a nock crimped on my string instead of a peep..as long as my nock was in my view just to the right of my pins I was on my anchor..shot years that way.. no more low light " I cant see my pins" issues

I remember my first bear like it was yesterday.  Shooting a Herter's Blacktail Hunter with a brand new invention highly rated in the writings of that awesome Chuck Adams...The Zero peep.  On the range I was living large and in charge.  That 1/16" peep hole was the BOMB!!!  I'm 12' up in a tree and 12 yards from the bait pile in heavy timber.  Bear comes in, I draw, and all I can see through that peep was black on black beside more black.  Raised my index finger from below my chin to the corner of my mouth, ignored the peep and sights and drilled him through the heart.

The next day before heading out for elk and deer I took dads drill and drilled out that peep hole as large as it would go without cutting the string.  I think that was just over 1/8"...probably 5/32".  To this day I never go into the woods with a peep aperture less than pupil dilation.  And I have never seen an ounce of difference in my accuracy between 1.5mm and 1/4" aperture holes.  Only difference I've ever noticed was in the clarity of my target scopes when using the small aperture holes.  Pins and target always clear and present from 5mm to 1/4" holes!  Though I am sort of partial to the 3/16" & 7/32" aperture holes.

What was the OP about?? :chuckle:  Sorry for getting off topic!  I've sort of got a peep thing ;)

Its how you look, not how you see.......
Exactly!
Which is why I usually end up spray painting most of my hunting gear.. :chuckle:
If I didn't know you I would think you are lying... the only guy I know who will take a rattle can to $1000 worth of equipment before he ever uses it...  :chuckle:

At Silver Arrow Bowmen we have had a guy at our 3D shoots a few times that shoots it. I was told by him that it shoots great but it was the grip that threw most of his friends off that have shot it.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
