I'm also interested in Issaquah deer.  I'll follow up with whatever general information I discover

Seriously, it's not just the hunters either. Twice in the last two years some A-hole was target shooting out there during the hunting season, in MY direction AND within 100yds of the highway. #$%^&*(
Then you get the tweakers, some dude with a man-purse was following me around during archery last year, wearing shorts and a tee in the snow?!. I finally asked him what the heck his deal was and he's all, have you seen anything cool out here??? I seriously wanted to hurt the guy....

Believe me, if it's public land and it's in 454, it's well known.

It's a great area but you have to be creative and look where other don't...and you have bowhunt to comply with 'no shooting' zone laws, which typically don't pertain to archery, just firearms.  Be sure to check the RCW specifics for any area you want to hunt.

This thread pops up every year on 454. There is a LOT of closed land in 454, even the NW corner of Tiger is closed. People get busted every year up there for hunting County conservation lands not open to hunting. That leaves very little area to hunt, yes it can be good, just like anywhere else, I've had luck there in the past, but have been phasing out of that area as it is also becoming very overgrown with not much browse, bear hunting is still good, though. It's just a real small area and there are a lot of lazy bee's flocking to it not wanting to drive out farther, additionally the "closed" roads are being road hunted now during the season, I've seen it each of the last 2 years now. There are enough keys to those gates that it isn't really hike in anymore, I'd like to see them blow the damn gates up in a mound of dirt.
